For the fourth year in a row, this past January twenty of our Bogrim partnered with Habitat for Humanity and spent their winter break building houses for the needy. For an entire week, these Bogrim showed what it really means to live a life of “Torah Va'Avodah,” and made a difference in Johns Island (Sea Island), South Carolina.
This is what Sea Island Habitat for Humanity had to say about our Bogrim:
Dear Bnei Akiva Volunteers,
On behalf of Sea Island Habitat for Humanity, thank you for your wonderful work with us last month. Your efforts are a blessing to families in need here on the barrier islands. Our crew enjoyed meeting and working with you and appreciated your hard work. We are so happy that you chose to spend your time here with us!
We feel honored when groups choose to give their support to us, and we were so glad to have you all with us! We hope that you enjoyed your time working here with some of the homeowners and other volunteers. We hope to have the opportunity to work with you again. Many thanks for a productive and enjoyable week!
In Partnership,
Anne Randall

Bnei Akiva of New York is a regional chapter of Bnei Akiva of North America, and Bnei Akiva Olami, the worldwide Religious Zionist Youth Movement whose mission is to inspire and empower Jewish Youth with a deep commitment to the Jewish people, the Land of Israel, and the Torah through a wide variety of informal and experiential educational programs.
Bnei Akiva of New York members strive to live lives of Torah V’Avodah, combining Torah learning and religious observance with active contribution to the Jewish people and the greater society. BANY creates leaders who assume responsibility for their community, take initiative towards those ends, and aim to actualize the ideals of Torah V’Avodah through making Aliyah.
